Forestry and Fire Recruitment Program

Summary: The Forestry and Fire Recruitment Program (FFRP) proposed to address the threat of‬‭ wildfires in Los Angeles County (caused by extreme drought and hotter days), in the‬‭ areas managed by the Angeles National Forests and local fire safe councils. FFRP did‬‭ this by recruiting and training a cohort of experienced former California Conservation‬‭ Camp (“Fire Camp”) residents to lead fuels reduction projects in these high-risk areas.
