Forestry and Fire Recruitment Program
The Forestry and Fire Recruitment Program (FFRP) proposed to address the threat of wildfires in Los Angeles County (caused by extreme drought and hotter days), in the areas managed by the Angeles National Forests and local fire safe councils. FFRP did this by recruiting and training a cohort of experienced former California Conservation Camp (“Fire Camp”) residents to lead fuels reduction projects in these high-risk areas.
