Our Projects
Leading the World in Climate Change Adaptation
Since 2020, the California Resilience Challenge has supported visionary climate adaptation projects in 25 communities across California. From drought resilience in the Central Valley, to heat resilience in Southern California, to wildfire resilience in the redwoods, and to flood resilience in the San Francisco Bay, these projects represent some of the world’s most creative thinking on climate resilience. The projects were selected from over 150 proposals and were chosen, with the help of an expert Advisory Committee, for their excellence and for the diversity of geographies and populations served.
The color of the pins signifies whether a project is meant to keep the community resilient from drought, extreme heat, fire, flooding, or multiple effects. Scroll over the pins to learn more about each project.
