Project Summary:
The East Bay Area boasts of excellent open spaces for health and recreation, but they need improved vegetation management to withstand heat and drought stressors. With support from the California Resilience Challenge, the Student Conservation Association (SCA) is recruiting, hiring, and training a Bay Area Climate Resilience Corps to conduct climate resiliency projects to support the Greater Bay Area’s historically disadvantaged communities to adapt to climate challenges of extreme heat and wildfires.
