Project Summary:
Rose Foundation for Communities and the Environment’s “New Voices Are Rising: Working Together to Build Youth Power for Climate and Community Resilience” seeks to increase climate resilience in frontline, underrepresented, East Bay BIPOC communities (mainly East Oakland, Richmond, Pittsburg, and Antioch) through youth-led community dialogue and visioning aimed at developing conceptual plans to increase community resilience by advancing just water and air policies that protect vulnerable communities from flood damage, wildfire smoke and increases in ground level ozone and other pollutants triggered by extreme weather events triggered by climate change.
