The Boys & Girls Club of San Marcos ("BGCSM") in collaboration with California State University San Marcos and Scylla Microgrid proposes to design and install a solar-based microgrid system ("BGCSM Microgrid") that will provide lower-cost, renewables-based non-grid resilient power to its facilities in San Marcos and serve as a model for further microgrid expansion in the community.
